Note: If a BSBD account is opened using simplified KYC, it will be treated as a Basic Savings Bank Deposit Account – Small, and will be subject to the below restrictions/limits.
A. The aggregate of all credits in the account should not exceed ₹1,00,000 in a financial year.
B. The balance in the account should not exceed ₹50,000 at any point of time.
C. The aggregate of all withdrawals and transfers should not exceed ₹10,000 in any month.
D. Foreign Inward remittance shall not be permitted in the small account.
E. Small Accounts are valid for 12 months and may be extended up to 24 months upon submission of proof of applying for an Officially Valid Document (OVD) within the first 12 months of account opening.
F. The Bank reserves the right to freeze operations or close the Small Savings Account after 24 months if the KYC documents are not submitted within the prescribed timelines.
G. Upon submission of the required KYC documents, the account will be converted into a Basic Savings Bank Deposit Account, or the customer may choose to migrate to any other Savings Account variant offered by the Bank.
